In the course of consequently pursuing the Group's one brand strategy, its international corporate brand was rebranded into A1 Telekom Austria Group. This represents the logical step to lead by example in the aftermath of the Group's announcement ("ad hoc" as of September 20) to roll out A1 across all of its operations in a gradual manner depending on local circumstances. The legal entity Telekom Austria AG is not touched by the rebranding into A1 Telekom Austria Group and remains unchanged.
Thus, after having already implemented A1 in the Slovene market and at A1 Digital, the Group continues to utilize the strong brand identity of A1 to foster the perception as a powerful international company that covers all convergent ICT aspects in the Digital Age. Since the one brand strategy has the potential to support the positioning in all markets of the Group, its subsidiary companies that have not been rebranded yet make use of the brand endorsement "Member of A1 Telekom Austria Group".
The Group's one brand strategy is a convincing example of facilitating synergy effects and best possible group-wide leverage of existing assets and capabilities while exploring the emerging potential and opportunities of digitalization. Alejandro Plater, CEO and COO of A1 Telekom Austria Group, on the proceedings with a view to consequently executing the Group's brand strategy and establishing a catchy, unified brand appearance: "We speed up at implementing a powerful unified market presence for all of our operations and improving our international visibility.
