Telekom Austria Group and Your Family Entertainment AG (YFE) signed a strategic deal during MIPCOM for the uplink and satellite distribution of the "Fix&Foxi" family-oriented channel across the Central and Eastern European region.
Telekom Austria Group will act as a satellite distribution and contribution services provider for Fix&Foxi channel's feed, targeted to the CEE territories. The channel will be uplinked from Telekom Austria Group's earth station Aflenz on the Eutelsat 16A satellite at 16° East - the leading broadcast position for Central and Eastern Europe. As of October 16zh, 2017 TV operators across Central and Eastern Europe can downlink Fix&Foxi TV channel and add it to their pay-TV bouquets.
Fix&Foxi's mission is to deliver high-quality entertainment as well as educational content to families around the globe. The channel targets primarily youngsters in the age group of 5-11 years, filling a unique niche in the typical multichannel line-up. The Fix&Foxi channel is the honored winner in the "Children's" category at the 2016 Eutelsat TV Awards.
